Spring 2025 – Looking back at Scouting in 2024

Date: 11th Jan 2025 Author: James

2024 was an amazing year for 41st Epping Forest Scouts, based in Loughton, Essex. Across our Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, and Explorers sections, we achieved so much together!

Highlights included a bushcraft camp at Thriftwood Campsite in Brentwood, where our young members honed essential life skills, and our spectacular Family Camp at Chigwell Row Campsite and Activity Centre, which brought together over 100 attendees.

We also hosted our JOTT (Jamboree on the Trail) during our AGM, with nearly 100 members joining us on a scenic walk through Epping Forest, starting in Loughton and ending at Fairmead Scout Campsite near High Beach.

These incredible experiences, along with our regular weekly activities, are made possible by our dedicated leadership team—unpaid volunteers who give their time to support over 100 young people each week.

Join us as we look forward to another fantastic year of fun, adventure, and personal growth!
