About Us
Formally called the 41st Epping Forest (4th Loughton Union), the 41st Epping Forest (1st Loughton) was established in 1938 with its headquarters located in Loughton, Essex. We have expanded over time to become one of the biggest groups in Royal Forest District, having travelled over 69,268 miles, visited over 9 countries, and spent over 436 nights abroad. Our group, we welcome people of all genders. Did you know the Scouts are the largest mixed-gender youth organisation in the UK.
Every week, our incredible volunteers help 100 young people by them skills for life. We are constantly seeking new volunteers, who may discover a lot about themselves in the process. There are other ways that being a Scout can lift your mood. Our amazing volunteer team will guide you to an opportunity where you’ll make friends and meet people.
Take on challenges and attempt new things. Step outside and immerse yourself. Have a positive influence on the community. Provide young people with important opportunities. Make memories that’ll last a lifetime.
