Explorers (14-18)
Try more. See more. Do more. At Explorers, you can dream big, discover your place in the world, and create memories that will last a lifetime. Our Globetrotters meet on Mondays from 7:00 to 8:30 in Loughton, Essex.
Explorer Scouts are encouraged to lead themselves, design their own programmes, and work towards the highest awards available in Scouting, including the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, with the help, direction, and mentoring of 41st leaders. Explorers provides fun and adventure for everyone by offering exciting opportunities such as participating in camps and expeditions both at home and abroad, as well as adventurous activities such as mountaineering, parasailing, and offshore sailing.
The 41st Globetrotters ESU is a mixed unit in the Royal Forst District that works in partnership with the 41st Epping Forest Scout Group (1st Loughton), which offers Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts sections.
Is there a waiting list?
Lots of young people want to join Scouts and you might have to wait for a space to become available before you can start your journey. If a section has a waiting list, parents and other adults might want to think about what they could do to help out. Regardless of skillset or availability, there’s an opportunity for everyone to contribute.
